I managed to convince my 9 year old son to join my for this half-day walk. We drove back to Shibli (o a Saturday morning in Pesach - no traffic!)
and started walking up Mt. Tabor
The ascent was quite scenic with great views of the surrounding area
and still some wildflowers around
The transfiguration church on top of the mountain was closed (it was also Easter Saturday).
After a short break and walk around the top of the mountain, we started heading down
The path soon led to Gazit junction (and an obligatory ice cream stop).
Unfortunately, we couldn't find a taxi to get back to the car, so had to walk another 4 km to get back to the car and head back home.
